Currently all governments around the world own approximately 260,000 BTC which is 1.237 percent of the overall supply. Bulgaria in particular is thought to have more than 213,000 BTC. It is believed that the U.S. government obtained Bitcoin from Silk Road in 2013, but then sold it in the year 2015. And members of the Ukrainian government privately hold roughly 46,351 BTC.
