Now calculate the error through each layer which can be considered to represent the recursive accumulation of change so far that contributed to the error (from the perspective of each unique neuron). Past weight values must be transferred to fit the following layer of neurons.

Finally, this change can be traced back to an individual weight by multiplying it by the weight’s activated input neuron value.
